Wow - has anyone else fallen off the bandwagon? We did. Just a little. It was in this teeny tiny fall that we realised we needed to re-focus on our Ayurvedic routines; what that is, why we do it, and how we do it. With all this additional time we’ve been gifted, safe at home, it has really shed some bright AF light onto how much more we could have been doing in our daily self-care routines. Yes, us too! Routine is INTEGRAL right now. Calm that universal Vata down, please. She needs daily structure. ⁠⠀

Let’s get you back to basics Modern Ayurvedics

  • Know your dosha (take our online dosha test or book in for an online constitution analysis)⁠
  • Know your imbalance (you’ll likely need an Ayurvedic practitioner for this one - it’s difficult to remain objective to your own mind/body - especially in the beginning of your Ayurvedic journey)⁠⠀
  • Choose foods to pacify, promote, or maintain (we can set you up on a personalised Ayurvedic lifestyle plan - including guidance with Ayurveda’s approach to dietetics)⁠⠀
  • Understand the Ayurvedic times of day to optimise your energy⁠⠀
  • Set a healthy Ayurvedic routine in alignment with the Vata/Pitta/Kapha times of day/night (click here to learn more and download free PDF - I keep mine on my fridge and mark off as I go!)⁠⠀
  • Stick to it like crazy (go you good thing!)⁠⠀

I know a lot of us have had their steady routines suddenly crumble due to changes in employment since COVID-19. Some of us now have a huge void, others are met with a shift in how their roles are structured and performed. Whether you’re now working from home, or you’re job’s been put on hold and you have all the time in the world - you can all use the wisdom of Ayurveda and apply it to you current circumstances. Harness the Doshas throughout the day to optimise your energy levels and productivity. ⁠⠀

Here's a little inspiration taken from my daily moments to inspire yours:

wake
pop the kettle
bathroom
tongue scrape
brush teeth
oil pull
MA supps
herbal tea
yoga
repeat⁠⠀


These are the very first moments of everyday. Yep, everyday. They flow in sequence, effortlessly, one after another. Just like each breath. ⁠⠀

Routine is so important. What then extends from these very first morning moments are daily movement, meditation, dry brush, shower, and a warm, light breakfast (once my Agni says heyyyyy).⁠⠀
