WHAT IS KAPHA?

Kapha is made of the heaviest elements and equates to the bulk of your tissues. It includes your plasma, lymph, muscle, fat and connective tissue. Kapha is also your steroid (fat based) hormones and neuropeptides (brain signals).  

Before you go cursing your Kapha, just remember that Kapha is what regulates your sense of strength, stability and self. Kapha tissues are your base and your reserves. They are what stops your body from going into the fight (Pitta) or flight (Vata) response. 

Good quality Kapha is the foundation of your song.  

YOU GOT SOME HIGH KAPHA?

That means you have a solid foundation (physical form) and are capable of producing the type of music that lingers on.  Like the archetypal Mother, Kapha is charged by the softer, stiller and silkier energy fields, which makes you the strongest, most enduring and least demanding mind body type. But you also find it a little hard to get going. There is more inertia in your system to overcome. And that cool clay-like quality renders you prone to congestion, a lagging digestive system and sensitivity to the damp. Cough. Splutter.
